Talking New P5 owner

I just got my P5 and I am extremely happy with it. It has the following specs:

* Midnight Blue Mica
* 5 Speed
* MID-CYCLE REFRESH
* ABS WITH SIDE AIRBAGS
* 16in. POLISHED ALLOY WHEELS
* POWER SLIDING GLASS MOONROOF
* LEATHER-TRIMMED UPHOLSTERY
* CARGO NET
* CARPETED FLOOR MATS
* MOONROOF DEFLECTOR
* PERIMETER SHOCK SENSOR ALARM
* REAR BUMPER GUARD
* WHEEL LOCKS

Ended up paying $18,100. Dealer sticker price was close to $22,000.

welcome to the board. Out of all those things that you listed, the '5 speed' part is the most crucial one

enjoy your car

Larry, first oil change should be done at 1,000 kms as specified in the manual, and then at 8,000 kms, 16,000 kms, 24,000 kms.... so on and so on.......

Yes welcome! I also recently purchased a P5 and I love it! At first I really wanted the mid-cycle refresh, but then I decided I didn't like the interior, what do you think of it. Blue is definately the best color to get for this car. I definately make a few heads turn. Besides for the fact that I wish this car had a little more power, I can't really complain, I guess that is what mods are for.

I really enjoy then interior. I agree that a little more power would be nice, but I have no complaints. It still gets up and goes pretty danm nice.

My P5 is new as well. A couple of extras I like are:

1. Kartboy short shifter and bushings
2. The Mazda rubber tray which fits in the cargo area
3. The Mazda rear bumper guard for the top part
4. Redline in the transaxle at 500 miles

I did my oil as follows:
1. New filter and Castrol at 500 miles
2. New filter and Mobil 1 at 3000 miles

The cast iron block engine should last forever and I find it powerful enough.
