Thumbs up New P5 owner

Just got a new P5 over the weekend!! The dealer had a leftover 2002 with an excellent price. This is not a 2002.5. Original wheels, no side markers. I did not think that I would want a white car, but the Pure White on this car looks great.

I was looking at a Civic EX, Pontiac Vibe, Protege ES or the P5. The Protege's were the easy winner once driven. Got a better deal on the P5 than a 2003 ES. The car is a 5 speed with a moonroof, and six cd changer. I can't believe how good this car handles. I'm 46 years old and got rid of my 99 Taurus (piece of crap) and enjoy a "Miata" with 4 doors and a lot more room.

I monitored this forum for a few months and understand any shortcomings with the car. I still think it's the best!

Welcome aboard. I hope you end up loving your car as much as I do.

Enjoy

We drove the Matrix, Vibe and looked at the Honda. Decided for the features the P5 was the most "bang" for the buck. We traded my wifes 98 Sable, and she couldn't be happier!!

Paul, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

its good to have another GEEEZER on the board with me to keep these WHIPPER SNAPPERS in line!! lol

I too look at the Civics and was so disappointed in what I got for the same price as the P5, comon, a tape player, and drum brakes Never owned a Mazda before, this and the Mazda 6 are real winners.
