My P5

This is all good to know. I have 8500 miles on my P5 and I have recently noticed a sound up front. I am going to climb under today and have a look. Thanks for all the knowledge.

As for Mazda quality that some people are questioning, my experience is not quite the same. I have had a GTi, 2 Audi's, a BMW and a Nissan SE-R. All of these cars pale in comparison to the my Mazda's build quality. The panels all meet properly, the paint is even, and it's a sound ride at speed.

Everyone has the right to be upset about the materials in an economy car, but, the Mazda is still above the rest of the category. That is really what counts. In addition to this, Mazda has taken the time to design the Protege so that it actually is unique inside and out. It's a very good car at a very affordable price.
