My New Protege5
#16
Hi Guys,
I just joined here... I am from Melbourne, Australia.... home of the first formula one grand prix of each year! I have had an Astina SP20 (renamed Protege 5) for 8 months... only mods so far are clear side indicators... and a damaged front bar, and a damaged rear bar... one my fault, one not...
Just asking if any/many of you are looking at turbo kits in the near future?
Cheers,
Bill

How long did it take you to bargin to get this price? Or, I should ask, how did you do it? Do you try and strategy?

Well, they came up with a figure a few hundred dollars higher than I wanted to pay, but I said nope, and started to leave. The manager then came down and lowered the price, and gave me a really good interest rate (considering there is no "special rate" for the P5 right now).
They did charge me a $140 documentation fee. But from what you guys said, that's actually not too bad. I probably could have gotten them down a bit lower, but I guess I did ok. I was also sick of sitting there.
My wife graduated from grad school (3rd Master's!) last year, so that helped. Unfortunately, the car has to initially be in her name to get the rebate!
I pick it up tomorrow.
