When i ordered mine the dealer told me that there will be NO markup at all on this car. He said my final price out the door with be 20,500. We filled out some paperwork and that is gonna be my final price plus tax, tags, and title but thats always extra.

Drive up to Nucar Mazda in New Castle, DE and you can get it for list or less. Contact their internet sales manager for more details. They're getting at least 7 and they should be in as soon as next week.

Don't pay more than retail.

offset and gouging

The actual offset for the racing harts are 55mm, not sure on the weight of the rims though.

Not every dealer gouges, Mazda is very specific about their dealers being fair to the consumer, they don't want to **** you guys off with the price of the first Mazdaspeed car.

I have driven the car, It handles nuts, with the extra power you can really enjoy the grip it offers and the brakes are insane, can anyone say M3!

Can you say "drive a M3, then re-evaluate your thoughts?" Nice car, not an M3 though! NO WHERE NEAR IT.

I didn't say it had the quality of an M3 or that it was as fast as one, But the brakes are very very impressive. With four people in the car it hauled itself down from 75mph with no problem and with enough urgency to cause all the belts to lock and complaints from the rear seat occupants!

It's not an M3

It's not $55,000 either

It's an incredibly capable sporty "econobox" which will out handle and out brake a fully modded civic SI, I know since my girlfriend drives one.

I don't know the weight of the Racing Hart rims on the MSPro, but expect that they'll be just too damn heavy.

The rims on the MP3 are quite heavy - if I can find the info (it was posted a long while back) - they may have been over 25 lbs each. That's a lot of weight - especially considering the stock P5 wheels are around 17 lbs each.

Putting on some really lightweight wheels would be a nice upgrade to your new MSpeed. You'll get slightly (maybe not even noticeable) better acceleration, but the handling could improve quite a bit.

Good luck with the car!

Okay - like I said, I wasn't sure. But I knew they were a bit on the chubby side for "performance" wheels. Thanks for the clarification.

i thought the whole point of mazda getting Racing Hart to make the rims was for lightness, seeing how the C5 is 8 lbs. per rim. if it turns out that they are significantly heavier, i have a set of 16 lb. FD rims that might look good on there...

also, the dealer gave me a tenative date of arrival as oct. 21st. that could be a day or two off depending on how long shipping actually takes.
