Looks like my sisters last car after she rolled it. I thought it was amazing how much snow got inside of the car. She had her coat in there and then next day we went back with shovels to try to find it. The snow was almost up to the windows.

A bit of history
A 360 degree turn with 4-5 flip overs on a sub urban hiway between Quebec City and Valcartier's Military Base. (Autoroute Henri IV( HWY-73)) Heading South.
A stupid Dodge Caravan driver was driving like if he was drunk, shooting me snow, water and mud all over the windshield, there was enought **** in front of me I could'nt even see where I was going with wippers at full speed. My car was bearing left a bit, wich let me to drive in the mud and the back of the car began to slip, I was driving it at about 100-110km/h (60-65mp/h). Conditions were not bad the minute before and taht speed was not innapropriate for the circumstances. The car first slipped right at about 45 degrees, then left for about 180 degrees and back right for over 200 degrees to push me on the left side of the road and start the flips.
I was so afraid that I tought it was the end, I would be hitting something so hard it would kill me, or the roof would colapse and crush me down into the seat breaking my neck. I holded to the steering wheel so hard that now I have some muscular elongations in the back, and arms. When the first or second flip appened, all windows broke except the driver's one. Why ? I dont know, but I think it's because the head rest was properly set for my tall or high enought the roof would stop colapsing at that height. Then I closed my eyes, thinking about that horrible situation, 1 or 2 seconds later, the car was fulled with snow. I could feel it pushing me against my seat. I stopped breathing cause i knew I could'nt if I would. 1 sec. later. everything was over. I cleared my head with my hands, and could breath again. I looked for the door handle and opened it, some snow falled down on the ground and I saw a man (military) running at me : -You all right ? -Yeah I think so.
He was the guy driving behind me. Another guy came right after that helping me getting out of the car, then a police woman who was going on another call in the oposite direction saw me flip too and stoped. Let me tell you I was on the worst shake you can ever have. The police girl saw that I had a bleeding cut on the head and helped me with that. One minute or so after, a provincial policeman came and took the situation in hand. I started looking for my cell phone and my wallet. The other tow mils where grouping my spare clothes and parade uniforms, boots, rack sac and everything that I had in the car and trunk.
To comfort everybody, NO, my son wasn't with me, I was driving to my parent's house to pick him up. He wouldnt have been able to make it. I was the only person in there.
I went to the hospital for X-rays and everything to confirm I was all right.
So this is my big story. I hope no one of you will have to live this like I did.
As for the choice of getting a Protege instead of a Civic :
1. The price for equipement;
My Civic LX was 23 grans, no sunroof, no leather, no rims, no wing, no fog lights...
My Protege has all, plus the following, for 25 grans.
2. Power, more HP, more torque, more fun, more control.
3. Sport AT. How do they call that ? Shift Tronic ? Grade Logic ?
4. A full custom leather interior with heated seats
5. 16" alloy wheels
6. 7years/160K kms full waranty.
7. 4 disc brake system.
8. Good reputation among my friends
9. Insurances fees... even if mines will skyrock next year...
I'll post up pictures of my Protege as soon as I get it !
Thank you all !

congrats on the new car, and very glad that you aren't seriously injured in the rollover.
you know, when I saw your username, I thought you were making a sick joke about what happened around the DC area back in October, but then I realized you're in Canada, so never mind then

Sniper, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.
make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
Welcome!!
I know what its like to be in one of those...its not fun....I have been in TWO accidents where the car was going that fast and ended up rolling down the highway.....one was a buddies car...the other was mine....in mine I actually want airborne and did one half of a barrel roll and ended up on the roof...and that was in a 1965 VW Bug!! the pic of the car in its AFTER state is below..... :{D believe it or not.....I didn't get a scratch...or even a bruise. as you can see...the car burnt after it got upside down.
Gald to have you with us....congrats on the new ride.

I'm glad you're ok and I'm glad you got rid of that crappy 7th gen civic! You're gonna love the Protege. But please do everyone on the road a favor and get a set of winter tires, because those 4-season Dunlops are horrible for Quebec winters. I got myself a set of Michelin Arctic Alpins (P185/65R14) with black rims to replace my Dunlops and 16"s, and they're great in the snow/ice. Check out Costco, the Michelins are cheaper there than everywhere else - they also have Uniroyals but I recommend the Michelins.

I'm glad to hear that you are OK!.
What's a crash?!!
It's good to see that you're getting a Protege GT. It's a better car in my opinion.
Sorry to saying that, but your civic looks bad to me. I don't like the stickers around, and the import "car" plate in front......anyways, it's totaled...hehe
Good Luck with the new Protege!
