MP3 parts for protege ES 2.0 2001+

Hello people, I just bought myself a 2001 mazda protege ES/GT 2.0, havent's done much yet to it, just a cone intake and put some xenon bulbs in the head lights and fogs, but i'm waiting for spring to come before I start really getting into it, cause it's winter here where I am and it's hard to do stuff with all this damn SNOW!!!!!!. Anyway i've done a bit of searching, on finding MP3 parts for this car, and I have found some, just check out the URL i've posted at the bottom and you will know what I am talking about, they've got the 17'mags, muffler, side skirts, back skirts etc....... I'm still looking for the front skirt, and I am halfway there to finding it, i've e-mailed a few people, called around and i'm getting closer, enjoy what i've found so far and i'll get back to you with more stuff hopefully. http://www.mazdastuff.com/directory.cfm?CategoryID=196

Congrats on the new car. Enjoy it. That site has been posted in several other places. Use the search function, you'll learn a lot.

Hey, check out www.mazdamotorsports.com
They've got nice adjustable coilover setup for your vehicle that are probably better than the MP3 sping/shock combo. The MP3's sway bars are very nice though. The also have an adjustable strut tower brace for your vehicle(No idea if it is any better than the MP3 one, it's made of aluminum though so maybe it's a wee bit lighter?).

Just my opiniion I would look into getting as many after market parts that you can that you like and that are not made for the MP3. My boyfriend "1fatEs" just got a 2002 ES a few months ago also and we went and got price checks on some of the stuff of the MP3 like the strut bars, springs, pedles and little stuff like that and they are WAY over priced. The body kit is worth getting cause it looks great and is made for the car, but I would check around before you get the other stuff. I don't remember the exact prices, but I think the pedles were around $95. Well just my opinion.

Yes, you wouldn't want to have anything with any quality, would you? Nevermind what I said, run on down to Pep Boys and grab some of that hot aftermarket gear! (Flourescent Pink Pinstripes anyone?) You get what you pay for....

Just to let you know I never said ANYTHING about buying CHEAP parts. I do not believe in putting anything cheap on a nice vehicle. All I was trying to point out was that some of the products were VERY over priced compared to products that you could get from a GOOD proformance shop that are of EQUAL quality. Obviouly you don't know the first thing about quality though because if you did you would now that a high price doesn't always mean a better product. For example a Mazda Protege compared to a Honda. Hondas are priced a little higher, but I think most of you would agree with me that a Mazda is a better deal.
