Well you could open them and reseal them. Then you wouldn't see the silicone.
But just silicon around the outer edge should probably suffice.
If you don't want to see a little silicon around the light when you open the trunk, then go with the bake and seal option .

u have to take the light off and hold it under water (of course with out the light bulbs in it) and see where the water leaks in at. then put some sealent on the spot where its leaking in. OR you can jus get a small bottle and apply it all around the edges of the light(s).
