Mazdaspeed Catalouge???

I herd Maxx Mazda say something about a "Mazdaspeed Catalouge" in one of his posts. I was wondering how you would be able to get one of these. Thanks guys!

Thanks

Thanks for the help, but I don't think that is it. It sounded like it was an mail order catalouge. Maxx Mazda could actualy respond best, so I should try to get in touch with him directly.

Thanks for the help!

Pepi,

The catalog I found at the dealer. (I'm friends with my parts guy.) You can't buy it yourself, it is only given to the "Mazdaspeed performance centers" in dealerships.

It contains all the parts off the MSP, the Mazdaspeed exhaust, badges, shirts, oil coolers, jackets, keychains, the whole bit.

If your dealership has a "Mazdaspeed Performance Center" in it, (my understanding was that the dealerships had to buy a franchise of some sort,) it should have the catalog.

thanks

Thanks a lot. I'm intrested in the MSP exhaust, so that is why I wanted to check it out. If I ever got the money, a turbo system would be nice, but I DO have to be realistic, here. It is going to come down to how much things will run me. I got a graduation gift commin up, so I wanna chose wisely, and get the most I can out of this. Fortunatrly for me, my B-day is right around graduation, so I should have some decent cash to spend on goodies for my MP5.

I'll check the local dealers. I do know one dealer near me said something about buying a franchise for the Mazadspeed stuff. My friend was looking for a mazdaspeed Protege, and the guy was tellin him that they didn't carry them, because of that reason. In any case, like I said, I'll check around.

Do you want the Mazdaspeed exhaust (that I have) or the exhaust off the Mazdaspeed Protege? They're two different ones.

Your buddy is right. If a dealer sells MSP's, they have the franchise and will (should) have the catalog I spoke of.

Right now, I am actualy trying to see what would be the better buy between an amp (which I am pretty confident that I will be getting, because the sound system could really use some help) or the exhaust. However, I don't know what the MS exhaust can do, and I didn't know that there were 2 diffrent types. If you could get back to me on:

A) What the diffrence is,
B) If the power increase I'm assuimng you'll get is noticible, and
C) How much are you looking to get for it?

The system is an issue, and it could use the change, but a power increase would be welcome, being that before this (and I still drive it regularly), I drove a Dodge Stealth, which has a V6 and 223 hp.

Anyway, get back to me whenever you can:

THe Mazdaspeed will give you a WAY better sound and wil lbe cheaper, but the MSP exhaust (made by racing beat) will give you more power since it's a cat-back, but from what I've heard it's really quiet.

Go with the Mazdaspeed exhaust (the axel-back) and just keep the radio off as you listen to the muffler! Now, you don't need a system...

Well, the MSP sounds like it would be more along the lines of what I am looking for. I always hear loud exhaust systems on Civics, etc, and I shake my head, because it makes it sound like it needs a new muffler. I'd go with the power from the MSP, and I'll keep it quite. But, like I said, the system is my top priority, but that could change. Really, what are you looking to get for the MSP? I'll put it this way. If it's around a hundred (or maybe lower), it's in my price range. I do have a graduation and B-day comming up, like I said, so I wanna make the most of what I get. If I can swing both, that'll be great. If I could swing both for about 200, even better (The amp is 130, but could probably get it for a lower price). I would need instalation on them to, so just lemme know up front what you're lookin to get.

The MSP cat back is around $450 vs. the MS which is $198 or maybe a bit more depending on the dealer.
What AMP are you getting for $130?? i know this is the wrong thread but most will agree that an AMP is the heart of a good sound system (some might argue the HU too). But no matter how good of a HU you have or how good your speakers are, you weak link will be a poor amp. Just something to think about.
If I were you, I would spend the 200 on a MS exhaust.
Good luck with whatever you end up getting.

Unfortunatly, my father has the final say on all dealing with the MP5, and he said no way to the MSP exhust. So, I will probably get the amp now, and get some performance stuff down the line. He wants me to drive the car for a little while (which I haven't been doing much, since I still drive the Stealth religiously), then I could talk to him about performance. Figures its best to keep the warenty in tact, and I can't really arguee that point.
