ok so im starting to get pissed at mazda, here they keep saying how the MP3 was a limited edition car and they built only 1500 to sell to the public. Now me like most people went 1500 cars isnt bad it means everyone can get one if they afford it, and that dealers shouldnt price jack it to bad. Then mazda gives liek 100 of them away. I mean they gavce every pro racer one and then gave cars to magazines and car companies, sure they paid for it but i mean seriosuly in the end they probaly only could sell 1250 cars and with there 4 thousand dollar mark up, i think it was wrong but watever

 

At least one of the cars in the Speedvision Wordl Challenge Touring Car series is not an MP3...It was being developed before the 2.0-liter motor was even available in the Protege. They just put the front air-dam on it and everyone called it an MP3.

But, that's just what I heard...

And, I paid sticker for mine, no mark-up. Some people got there's for less than sticker. And yes, a few people paid a few thousand more because of dealer mark-up...

 

Now that I refreshed my memory after a trip to the Speed Vision World Challenge web-site, I see all the Proteges are listed as the ES model. They just have the updated MP3/Protege 5 front bumper cover.

 

i got my mp3 for like 17,595 thats way under sticker.

 

I got my MP3 at auction for 6000$ -just 40000 miles, yellow one , and sold at on the next day for 7700$, I can go and buy this car again for like 9000 if anyone is interested --- Good cars -but nothing special ---
