Mazda or Hyundai? HELP!!!!

I'm selling my V-dub soon and I'm trying to decide on which car I want to get next. My VW is a GTI VR6 and I really love the way it performs. But German parts are really expensive. So I'm looking for something a little more affordable to upgrade. I took the Hyundai GT V6 for a test drive and was impressed slightly at what they have given us to play with. On the other hand, my wife (MP3angel) and I own an MP3. We both love the car and the MAZDASPEED has been promised to be better than what we already have. Looking for any and all input. Thanx guys.

How can you go from a VW GTI to a Hyundai POS? If you like the MP3, go with a P5 or wait for the new Mazdaspeed Protege.

I'll agree with Jesse on the new Hyundai looking nice. At the Auto Show my wife and I were thinking about one for a second car, but I REALLY want to see the Cooper-S! So were waiting.

Has Hyundai's reliablity gone way up? How does Kia and Hyundai offer a 10year warranty on their cars? I know that Hyundai use to be very poor reliablity, and resale value was below junkyard value. I never really looked into Hyundai when I was shopping for my P5, since looks were a big factor in my purchase. Hyundai IMO doesnt have any looks.

A friend had a Stellar about maybe 10 years back. Rear tire passed us on the highway! So we park it on the side of the road, hitch to Calgary, come back the next day and theres RCMP everywhere! Some tractor trailer (they think) smoked it 150yds. off the highway! They were looking for us! Anyways biggest POS he ever owned and was extatic when they wrote it off.

Now their supposed to be quite good though. I wouldn't buy the Tiburon. Like $32,000cnd. But the little GT is nice.

can anyone post a pic of the hyundai gt?

is it this 2.7l quad cam "sonata"?

IMO--keep the gti...this car puts out at least 87kw to the wheels stock...and its got mad resale value..compared to a hyundai.

but if u really need a new ride...then u might as well get a new mazdaspeed 3

I'd post a pic of it if I had a clue as to how! But there's a rear view pic of it on an earlier thread... "dam hyundai!!!" or something I think it's called? Should be in off topic category. As for the handling on the Tib, anything can be modified I just REALLY think my mp3 and his possible MazdaSpeed would look REALLY nice together!
I wouldn't mind just keeping the GTI in fact, and neither would he, but he's right. German parts are a LOT more expensive than you think, making anything more expensive to upgrade or modify on a vw.

She usualy is. But I'm still trying to decide what is going to make me happy. I've also been looking at the VW GTI 337. If you want to know what that one is all about you can check it out on VWvortex.com. Tell me what you think of that one.

the 337 is really nice and limited edition, but i would rather get a jetta or golf with the 1.8T and chip it. there is a lot of aftermarket for those v-dubs.
