used magnaflow cat-back for pr5 for $200. 2,000 miles. what do you guys think? sould i use the money for something else? (my car is stock except for cai.)
not sure why it's being sold and i haven't seen it yet .

If that's really what you'd be getting, that's an awesome price and I'd use my $200 bucks for that. But like omron said, be careful. Definately get as much info as possible.

 

Beware of the magnaflow exhaust? thats very do-able if its cat-back and you install it yourself.... unless you guys are talking about the performance aspect?

 

Yeah, if the buyer is legit, that's not a bad price. They are about $350 new.
I'd want to see DETAILED pics unless it is someone you know or is a well-known member of a forum (this one or whichever...)

 

i think i'm going to pass on it. i saw pics but i don't know enough about exhausts to make a decision. if anyone is interested the posted it on msprotege. it's under the protege5 marketplace.

Yeah, I went over and looked to see if I recognized the name. I don't care how much I wanted something, I personally would NEVER buy something from someone whose 1st post is "F/S xxx"

Sadly these people are everywhere. Some of us got burned on this very board back last October. I am out $70, and learned a lesson. Hopefully it will be the last time I have to learn that particular one.

 

i know of a couple people who are selling their magnaflows up here in vancouver.
(me not one of them though, i'm very happy with mine)

that 1st post and seeling something should be a big BIG warning sign though.

 

I buy nothing from a poster unless he's been on the boards at least a year and has more than 50 posts.

 

My bro bought that exhaust for his P5. The guy was legit. It was a good deal. he even had the decals and stuff in the box. He realized a P5 wasn't ever gonna satisfy his HP cravings and just switched to an RX8.
