the most likely cuplrit is the AC compressor clutch kicking on... at least that is what does it on my car.

That's weird, sometimes mine get a little bit dimmer when I'm driving. just for a split second, a quick flicker. For the first couple of months I thought it was my imagination, then I kinda learned to ignore it.

Bomber, I'd love to see what they say in that report, when you get the info, post it up!

Yeah i think it's just some other electric part turning on so the car has to adjust and make more power or soemthing...not really a big problem if u ask me.

i agree with Arghman ("save us, Arghman!!" - good comic book name)

Sometimes when I turn the wheel, the lights dim for a split second - could be from electricity going to the power steering.....I've always thought that this was normal. Peace.

Noticed this as well. It just seems to do it at random. Don't really notice it anymore as I am used to it though.

Mines also gets dimmer for a split second, but I really pay no attn to it.

Mines usually happen in situations that "JoeT' described.

Mazda had my car for two days and found nothing wrong, but it still does it. Both my 2002 P5 and my 2003 MSP.

Mine usually flickers when the radiator fan kicks in...usually the culprit is the alternator not being able to push enough current and the battery not taking to well to the drain...

My old car use to do this all the time and I found out that it was my battery not being able to hold a charge anymore...I switched it with an orbital battery (the one that has gel instead of water) and noticed a decrease in the amount of flickering. But I really do not know if the battery is the culprit or the alternator.

Can someone with an orbital/optima battery tell us if your car flickers as much as the stock battery?

I have never notice my lights flickering...

it could be an electronic accessory kicking in (more load), or the alternator getting weak/dieing.
