Just talking....

This is me just raving about my P5

Yesterday me and the wife and son took a little road trip to Germany to do alittle shopping. It is about a 3-4hr trip to K-Town from where I stay in Belgium. In Belgium the legal speed limit is 130kPH about 80MPH. The same is in Luxumburg, but when you get to Germany you are on the word famous Autobahn. Cause I had the fam in the car no land speed record attempts. BUT I did set the cruise control at 100 and the car rode like a dream. No weird shakes, noises nothing. I love this car. Even going through moutains and turns. I didnt even have to brake or anything. The car just felt good. I held 100 for alittle over an hour. Got to K-town did alittle shopping, filled her up, turned around and did the same trip all the way back. The car giving me now problems what so ever.

I was gonna sell her but after today she is in the family for ever.....Rodimus I might be inline for one of those W.O.M.P superchargers .........

Sorry but I just had to rave about my P5

We over here are a little envious that you can cruise at 100mph without fear of getting a massive fine, you know!
I had my car to 100 once--for about 30 seconds!
Felt pretty much the same as you decribed.
Glad you decided to keep her, I love mine, she ain't goin' nowhere without me for a long time.

Hi Teamplayers,... glad to see more people from EU .... Last time I was driving on tha famous autobahn was in a V6 Volvo 760 years ago.... I can't remember my speed then, but I do remember Crossing belgium in 4 hours from the sea to German borders (I was driving from the UK going to Aachen) ... that time included stopping and getting lost in Brussels

With my Mazda Familia (P5!) I did 160 km/h (100 mph) this morning on the only motorway we have in North Cyprus... and for those who don't know how little this part of the island is... I do this motorway in 10 minutes

Yeah driving in Europe is definitly a change of pace. There are somethings that I wish the states would use and somethings that need to stay in Europe. The biggest thing is driving on the right passing on the left. SOOOO many people use the left lane for a chillin lane it pisses me off. In Europe people actually get out of your way and stay on the right.

If i'm already going 70 in a 65 mph zone, there's no reason for me to get over so the guy behind me can go 90... i don't really care... and people here in the US can hardly handle going 55 before they get into a wreck. I'd be afraid to see what would happen if we were all allowed to go as fast as we want with no consequences. We're all so freakin busy on the phone, messin with the radio, or looking at the wreck on the other side of the road...

^^ Thus the reason it pisses me off...two wrongs dont make a right, and it aint my fault that most Americans are stuck in their own ingnorance. Not saying anyone here is ignorant before someone flames me

The guy "speeding" and the guy who wont get out of the left lane. Both wrong and both cause accidents, along with the cell phones and looking at everything but the road.

aahhh the A-bahn.... Driving my Ford Taunus with my heel on the go-pedal. Staying right so the porsches (even the cops have 'em!) could scream past... once the return spring broke on the gas pedal. The pedal just sank to the floor. i drove for 30 more minutes like that - like cruise control... I eventually pulled over and used a bungee cord to 'fix it'.
