Yes, it gets hot in the sun. Probably gets cold in the winter, too. But I haven't been burned nor frostbitten as of the time of this writing.

that sparco has a plastic core though (if I recall correctly) so it it's just the sun that makes it hot. my greddy is a black chrome plated solid ball of copper, attached to an aluminum shifter that goes within half an inch of my primary catalytic converter with no heat shield between them (no space for one).

let's just say autocrossing is made interesting by the hot **** :P

just wondering cause my **** has the silver 5 speed shift pattern in the middle and is super hot to the touch when the sun beats on it. I can take the cold that wouldn't be a problem. That is part of the reason why I want to swap it out.
