Ignore me as I spank a Honda driver!!

Okay, so two years ago I got into an accident (which I want to post pictures of sooner or later) in my Protege. Fixed the car, everything was fine. ($7200 dollars worth of fine). On Monday, I was driving, minding my own business, singing a little John Michael Montgomery and I'm about to stop in the outside turning lane. Then BAM CRASH SHATTER TINKLE TINKLE. This Civic pulls in front of me. I had about 4 car lengths to stop but I guess the shorter lane appealed more to this Hoochie.

We collided in the lane. So, I pull up next to her.. thinking "HEY! SORRY! Come over to the gas station!" And she's just text messaging on her cell phone! So I pulled over to the gas station (It was too busy to try to get back behind her.) And she took off! She was GONE. I rear ended her, yeah... but she was GONE! She just left! I couldn't believe that. Maybe I'm lucky that she did, I don't know. It was her dang fault but I know that rear endings are cut and dry.

Anyway, I have to replace my whole front bumper and my driver's side parkling and head light. Not too happy about it. It'll be about $550 to fix. >sigh< Not happy at all. OH WAIT! The best part... I FINALLY got the settlement money and paid the car off. Tuesday when I got home, I had the title of the car in my hands. Just great, I can't own anything nice! LOL

I think the deer that hit me was a female, LOL.

Sorry to hear, widgetchick. But you are right about the rear-end thing. Somehow it would be your fault. Still, accidents suck!

Well, I'm a dork and didn't report it to my insurance. If I did report it, my deductable would actually be more than what it's going to be if I just get it everything fixed on my own. I know a guy and so forth... Nice being Italian once in a while LOL

I need to get a new bumper, that's for sure. But that's going to have to be painted... I was thinking about changing the color of my car ANY way. And I'm thinking.... It'll be 250 - 300 bucks to paint just the bumper, or 600 to paint the whole car. PLUS I wanted to get the paintable side mirrors, which to paint those that would be $50. So I'm thinking just a brand spanking new paint job for my wittle car.

And hey! I'm a woman driver!!! There was nothing I could do to prevent what happened. She crossed a solid white into my lane like a dumbsh*t.

Like I say all the time, it's not that Honda that I loathe, it is the driver!!

SAY NO TO [H] and YES TO (M) lol yay.
