Mike, thanks for contacting us.
We have developed a kit for the 1.6 litre.
We have found a mwthod which will further improve what we have done so
please give us a few weeks prior to ordering.
Cost is AUD$295 (approx US$165) post free via air mail. Please mail me the
third week of March and I will send you an email of the kit.

Former 1.6'er!
Hey folks!
I haven't a 1.6 Pro, but I kind of have a soft spot for 'ol engines of that size-- My old Nissan Sentra was a 1.6'er (GA16DE), and I always thought it was okay for getting around, although admittedly quite modestly so. 110 HP and 108 ft. lb torque. Always loved getting out there on the road and taking trips-- For 10 years that 1.6'er got me where I wanted to go, and continues to drive for the new owner after I sold her. 120k miles and still going strong (and believe it or not, I never changed the timing chain, and the clutch is still original!).
Take care of those little bangers and they won't let you down!

[q]protetype, have you heard anything more about the rampod? tresdos3, anything else about those cams? about $600 usd?[/q]
about the cams......from what i found out they were outsourced by mazdaspeed to another company of which no one knows about....and they were crap, as was the rampod (remember this was one of the original rampods used for development--ended up blowing the maf sensor))--since then unifilter has claimed to have the final product which is on its website as avilable for the 1.6l----
sorry for the long time responding..but i haven't been on 4 a long time cos of uni
