I took home 3rd @ Import showoff for the Mazda class, now granted there were only 4 Mazda's, but hey I won!!!!!!!! 2nd was a robotic Miata and 1st was an MX-6 that I never saw. Ill post pics later. The car show itself was kind of weak.

Your my hero!

Definately congratulations are in order. From the pics of your ride, I think the judges are blind and that you should have received first...of course I am kind of biased.

have fun and remember to post some pics of your ride, awards and of course yourself that we can admire your work.

Congrats, but its true, our cars are invisible when it comes to big shows. My first show (HIN) me and Packman didnot even placed 5th on the Mazda class. Thats ridiculous when a MX-6 that only has a lowering kit and a set of wheels wins 4th place. I got a second place at IE in the wagon class, got beaten by a beat-up Honda, oh well it had air-bags.

The HKS is a direct bolt on, removing just the factory air filter box only, it's ok I guess. The sound is pretty good, a little throatier than facotory, I'm satisfied with it, but I'm thinking the air that goes in is not as good as a CAI...I was not on this web sight at that time, so I had no idea of what to get. I probably went to the wrong places, the car modifying places said that there was nothing for my P5!! I wanted to do things to my car, but unfortunately no one to help me with it or to give me ideas. I would have like to get a Ractive intake, but... man the HKS wasn't cheap, $115 for the "green mushroom head" with mounts, I'll put the picture up when I get my Digital Camera

Congrats on the 3rd place finish!!

Ok... so there were only 4 entries... so what. Maybe people found out you had entered, decided 'what's the use?'... and did'nt bother entering. =)

Yeah you're right, thats one of the reasons I picked a Mazda, as long as there are no RX7's with aftermarket stuff on it you have a chance. I actually beat out an RX7 for 3rd.

Congratz man. You got a nice rid. Sirnuke is right a win is a win. Mazda isnt known to much for the aftermarket seen. But by the time we (the Protege Owners) get our cars noticed things will change. More and more people are starting to give the PRO some respect. But congrats again man.
