I need your ideas!

Okay, here's the dealio. I'm short on cash these days, but I have 2 more shows left (I think) for this season and I haven't done anything new to the car in quite a while.

What I'm looking for are inexpensive mods that I haven't done yet. Basically, Scott said 'NO' to my BIG GRAPHICS for $150 idea, so whatever it is that I do has to be less than that. Oh, and I'm looking for things that are VISUAL when the car is being judged.

So, fire away with some ideas.

Thanks!

polishing of under hood pieces?? that can be done fairly inexpensively if you have a good bench grinder and some patience.

Also, powdercoating over polished pieces is AWESOME. Gives it a nice glow. Something else about powdercoating is that I can buy "glow in the dark" additive. On lighter colors (like mp3 yellow) it really stands out. Nothing like popping your hood at night and watching your valve cover glow. That may be something to look into.

Here's what I've come up with so far.

Ideas:

Rockblocker tint (what color?)
Polish/Powdercoat under hood
Re-paint calipers yel/blk (currently yel/red)
Hose Techniques kit (what color?)
Clear Corners (rice?)
Mazdaspeed Rad cap (rice?)
New Mazdaspeed seatbelt pads (mine are ratty)
CF eyelids (ugh)
Chrome bling catch cans (rice?)

Hey! I happen to like my CF eyelids thank you very much. *Hmmmph*
The polishing under the hood...great idea. Glow in the dark...that's HOT!
Hose tech - Yellow or Red
Calipers - YELLOW
Clear Corners- Very ricey...you're better off just painting the housings black!
Seat belt pads - Good idea (cheap too)
Chrome catch pans? Give me an example.

Phil the catch Cans (not Pans) are those overflow tanks...Scott has them in the ZX351 (he needs them) but unfortunately I don't have that pic here at work

and hey, I LIKE my two-tone calipers

I'm actually going to be partnering with a local friend and we're combing our resources. Hopefully I'll be ready to start doing bigger jobs in the next month or so.

I dunno if I like the idea of darkening you lights....not with your color car
Highlighting the engine bay is always a plus as long as it's done in good taste--polish and powdercoating sounds like a good idea, and I kinda like the Mazdaspeed rad cap idea--I don't think it's ricey at all.
Personally, I like your P5 very much as is, I'd hate to see you go overboard on the bling just to call more attention to it, or becuase you feel you haven't done enough...

I hear ya....I just have this "thing" about wanting something new for every show, even if it is not possible! So many people have seen my car so it would be nice to have something a little different. I have found a few other ideas around the net that I will mention to the spousal unit and see if it is "approved". And no, it's not Nawwwwwwz!!

I say go with the stuff you listed towards the top of the page! It'll all add a little something and still be cheap. You just have to decide on colors for some of it....
