just in case your computer got a "bad" signal and there is really nothing wrong.....give it a test by resetting the computer....

go out to the car and remove the NEGITIVE BATTERY cable....then get in your car and pump the brakes a few times...this discharges a few capacitors in the system....then allow the car to set for a short while (10-15 minutes) then put the battery cable back on and crank your car up....do you still have the trouble light? if so....the computer is still getting the signal.....

OR you can go to Autozone and the will hook up a diagnostics to it if they have one for your car and tell you what the computer is eeing....they USUALLY do this for free.....it may not keep you from having to go to the dealer....but at least you will have a better idea of WHY you are going to the dealer before you go.

Maybe you just pressed the button to turn it off, It should be on the shift know check that before you get a diagnosis.

The button is just below the thumb depressor you push to put it in gear. On my car the light will stay on if you hit it however when you restart your car it automatically resets itself to normal, being overdrive on.

If you start your car and the "O/D Off" Icon lights up. Bring your vehicle to the dealer. This is a defect in your car and the dealership will fix it under warranty.

Duh, just cause I was tired when I did that post, I can spell Perfectly fine when Iam allert. And When water gets in between the sensors it sometimes gives off wrong readings I asked someone about it.

Well Kids I just bought some Euro Tail Lights, My little Pro is starting to "Rice out"

Funny that you get your jollies from making fun of other people's spelling. I have a little brother who's illiterate, and I say lay off of ol' Joe. For starters, this isn't an english class, it's a forum where car owners help each other out with questions and problems. I understood what he meant, and obviously you did as well. Just for ***** and giggles, I searched for posts you've made Tom, and found quite a few spelling errors myself:

"plain or babbet bearings used in the engine may have a steel backing but the part that wearing surface is copper, brass, or lead (or a mix) none of those are magnetic. ball or roller bearing, which are made of steel are not used in normal automotive engines"

"acording to your logic they couls have made another million just by leaving them out of the tranny."

"i am familiar with hi-perf vw and porshe engines too"

Just to name a few. There were a few hundred more, but we'll leave it at that. So you see, even those people who are perfect make spelling errors. I'll spell-check all of my posts in the future just to avoid your criticism if that'll make you happy. Oh, wait, then you won't have anything to complain about.
