Question How to rewire front turn signals

Trying to find a way to rewire the front turn signals ( the ones inside the headlight cluster ) on an 03 P5 to only act as flashing turn signals, but not come on with headlights. Has anyone done that?

Er...is is legal to have only the DRLs in Canada, no parking lights?

thx

It's a dual filiment bulb, so just identify which wire is the marker one (i.e. not the turn-signal wire or the ground wire) and cut it. Voila!

Ive done this. Well, almost the same. Made the inner lights always on, and the corner lights (near the outside) as the blinkers.

Your version is pretty simple, just have to separate the 2 wires going to that bulb. Test them out, 1 will be the blinker, the other is a driving light. Just try them both out, and see which one is the blinker.

After that, the light should only have power when blinker is on, and not as a regular running light.

I'm not sure if this is legal, but you can always make your corner lights as your running lights if you are worried about it.
