I actually had the very same question on my mind. I fell into the 20 ~ 24 category myself. Good to see some variety!

Looks like I may be the oldest at 43. I bought the car for my son to go to college with, but kept it myself. The dip **** said he would rather have a civic.

Hey Kenji, 31+ is a pretty broad category. I would not put me (31) and my dad (67) in the same demographic.

So I guess in your eyes maybe I'm an old fart. And no, I'm not the annoying one that Pseudo mentions. Although if we met I might turn out to be

My 2 bits - buy the car (Civic or P5) that makes you feel better when you sit in it and take it for a drive. Both will be reliable, both should have reasonable resale value. Personally, I never, ever looked at Mazdas before the P5 showed up. When I saw one I said 'hey, that's exactly the type of car I'm looking for' and went and drove one, and put money down about two weeks later. I had been looking at VWs for about a year and half to that point but couldn't justify the cost.
I am really enjoying the car so far. It's solid and handles really well, and is a lot of fun. Plus it looks cool. I get a lot of 'hey that's a really neat car what is it' comments, which you WILL NOT get with that Civic you're going to test drive, I'm sure.

Good Luck!

Dale.

Geez, man, I'm used to being in the lower side of the age ranges given, not the highest possible option. I'm 32. OTOH, I do spend a lot of time around 18-25s (I'm a univeristy professor) so maybe I just feel young because I'm around young people all the time...

I guess my wife and I fall on the high end of the age scale. We're 36, just married and planning a family. We wanted a station wagon type car, but not an SUV or minivan. The P5 has enough utility to it, but is truly sporty.

I'm 22... first new car My car is on the way as we speak
I think its just the perfect mix of causal and sporty! I can't imagine ever being so happy buying a car that is so common... like a civic
Makes the wait even more painful!! Ah well, 8 days or less to go!

Am 21 (almost 22 in a few weeks) in AB keeb! I guess I am in the middle with the majority...I totally agree, I couldn't be so alike with everyone else and own a civic

Where ya from? I'm in Coquitlam. Tell me about your ordering experience. Did they tell you what invoice was and agree on a fair profit markup? Where did you order from?

I'm from Powell River...
so i shopped around.. got quotes from a few people.. the best being Summit (i think that's where it was)
Off the bat i got a quote of 21000 on a 5spd w/o air
plus all of the dealer admin fees etc

theni called up courtenay mazda (because its right across from Powell River on the ferry), where the guy is a friend of my dads and told him what i could get it for.
i'm not allowed to say what i paid, becuase i got a pretty good price.. and didn't pay any amin fees or anything.
so... i don't really know how well i did. but i was happy with that.
plus i'm getting a few free extras

right now my car is sitting in vancouver (off the ship) and should be here any day!
