Question How many of you have ABS?

All:

Out of curiousity, how many of you have ABS? In 2002 was it an option? I notice now it is bundled with side airbags?

What's the deal?

Just curious.

- Brian

P.S. I do not have ABS.

cali must have been different...the only thing the moonroof was packeged with here was the 6 disc changer for the CD...which made NO sence at all ...... and you couldn't get the 16" polished wheels unless you got the moonroom/changer package.

I didn't get the abs.....its nice in really adverse weather....but deep in texas its a VERY VERY rare occocation that you would ever see any REQUIRING ABS....I saved my money.

Mine's on order.... but I got the side bags/ABS package for 500 or
so bucks sticker price or whatever it was.

All I know is that ABS probably prevented me from balling my SE-R
up a couple times...... whether that was because I was pushing my
car extra hard in inclement conditions because I subliminally _knew_
I had ABS, or because it actually saved my ***** I will never know.

I thought it was worth the money with the extra air bags, although
I do consider myself a competent enough driver to normally pump
the brakes. [] I think a great ABS system can do wonders though
in a SHTF situation.

I skipped the ABS. I considered it for the frequent rain we get in south Florida. After calling the insurance company and getting rate comparison with or without ABS, I couldn't justify it. It would only save about $30 a year. I don't plan on keeping the car long enough to recoup that expenditure. Besides, that's just more stuff that can break.

I have the moonroof, single CD, unpolished 5 spoke alloys. I don't have ABS. Mabey that's because I have an ES? I'm just glad I don't. I don't really care for ABS.

I have ABS too. Here in Atlanta, it was possible to get the sunroof without the ABS. I had a hard time finding a P5 with ABS in this area. ABS did come packaged with the Side Airbags for ~500.

yes

Silver 2002.5 with ABS/side bags, and moonroof as only options (besides mats). Couldn't get ABS without also getting the moonroof. That's OK 'cause I like it!

The 2003 offer cheaper prices on these options and better choices, but since I got a $750 discount, I paid the same I'd be paying for a 2003. So if you get a 2003, you have a better choices, so why not go with ABS? Probably make up for it a little in resale, or if you keep it for a while, on insurance rates.

I have abs and I must say that it saved my *** quite a few times. Especially in Seattle with its freakish weather patterns.
