I was just wondering how many gallons would be left in the gas tank when the gas light comes on, if you guys know.

there was a thread a while back about this...and it varries from one car to the next a little...and its dependant on how you fill your car as well....

assuming what when you fill up you have a FULL tank....drive till the light comes on.....then find a station and fill up right away and do the math...

for me...its about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons left.

Usually one to two gallon , I know I drove 30 miles once when the light came on.

I've made it 50 miles with the light on. All fingeres and toes were crossed!

It depends bro. Some cars are different depending on the driver and what you got under the hood. Usually around 25 to 40 miles.
