How to cut down on noise

Hey I was just talking to my uncle and I told him I wanted to get a protege. He said a protege isn't a real car (meaning its a cheap POS). Well I dont agree with him one bit. He asked me if I ever drove in a pro, becase there is a lot of noise.

Does anyone know how to cut down on this noise? like road noise and stuff like that. Any ways to make the inside of the car more luxary.

Oh he also told me think... a pro is the cheapest mazda made car, so it isn't that great of a car.

BTW he has a 99 ponitac sunfire, and a 95 infinity.

Cheapest car of a company doesn't mean it's not a good car. Toyota Corolla (use) to be the cheapest car, and it was known to be the most reliable and #1 sold car in US. (now it's the Echo). Honda has the Civic(their cheapest car).. it's again popular and known to be good. What is a real Mazda car than? More cost doens't mean, better car.

Well he is a Cheap POS!!

A Sunfire is a really lame made car. And The Infinity is jus a spruced up Nissan... Still SLOW cars.

I have no noise in my 94 Protege. SOOO i dont know what he is talkin about. Maybe ur uncle is just jellous. My car is really quite. Until i get my exhaust and headers...then ill have some nice mellow sounds!!!

Get a prote, they are nice, run for a few 100k's easily and inexpensive to take care of. THey are a hole HECK of a lotta fun to drive. and pretty quick too.

When you go out to mod ur Prote, thats where some of the money comes in hand. Because if you buy MAZDA parts it could be expensive...but the 1989-1995 Ford Escort is the same exact car. you can buy mostly any part on that car to fit the 1990-94 Protege. And it will be cheaper.

Well tell your uncle this... The Protege is the HIGH END ESCORT. Its Just IMPORT!!!

DAMN RIGHT! My last car was a POS Grand Am, and I cant begin to tell you the problems I had with that car. As for noise...umm...Pontiac is the worst car as far as road noise. I couldnt stand the noise that I heard in my Grand Am, so the stereo was up most of the time. Tell your uncle that he better get rid of that Sunfire before it "Backfires" in his face.
