HORRIBLE engine noise...sounds pretty bad

ok, so i was driving through some of my usual twisties like i usualy do when im bored, and i floored it coming out of one of the turns. just after i let off of the gas, the engine starts making a LOUD clacking sound ( kinda like a machine gun).
i know noone can give me a for-sure without pulling it apart, but can anyone give me any ideas one what happened? or at least best and worts case scenarios? or how much $$$ im looking at for repair?

yeah, the baby spine. But I can't even do that......fell hard on my *** trying to land on rear wheel(on a double) Fun idea, but requires alot of clown skills. the rocks were not a big plus either. My *** looked like something puffy and black.
PS Nice break job.

I'm not a mechanic or anything but my best guess.... A CV joint? I had that problem with one of my other cars, it happened after hitting a bump in the road on a corner.

Try doing a simple test..got to a parking lot..and make a sharp left turn..no need to do peel outs or anything..if you cv joint is craked..you will hear it..

Also..if the clanking noise..is really that loud..pop the hood..something might be hitting something!
