Exclamation Holy ****

I just had to get my heat fixed AGAIN! This is the second time in 5 months with my P5!! Its the resister. 1-3 on the fan speeds wouldn't work...only 4. If it happens again I am going to scream!

Vent selection

I don't have that problem (yet) :P though it does seem like the AC is on constantly. The light can be on or off, but each time I turn the fan on, I hear the click and power sap like the compressor is being engaged... besides that, when I have the vent selection on Top/Floor almost nothing comes out of the Top. Switching it to Top still doesn produce all that much airflow even on the highest setting.

Sounds like more than just a faulty resistor, they do not blow THAT often...there must be an intermittent short somewhere the techs aren't seeing.

Unzipped, this was covered in another thread and explains why it does what it does...sorry don't know the exact thread, but if you do a search, it should bring it up.

Did you bring it to the same dealer each time? If so, I would try another dealer...

I bring it back to the same dealer each time... Most of the techs there have been there for about 13+ years with about 4-5 Master techs at the facility. (According to the plaques. Who knows if they ever remove the old ones) The dealer is part of the President's club and listed as Elite. I figured it couldn't get much better than this. Honestly though, I haven't mentioned this "problem" to them since I've always have a list of the others they're still trying to fix/duplicate. (rattle, bucking in slow traffic [which is now fixed by a reprogramming], front end bounce going into first at times, rear window molding) My posts are scattered about with the problems I've experienced...

Love the car, hate the problems. I'm guessing a return would be out the the question, but who knows. I'm about to go back to Acura <shudders> Don't pelt me too hard with the tomatoes.

In addition, I just noticed what LOOKS to be two spots of seperation between the paint and clearcoat on the front driver's side corner of the roof. I give up

Black Mica Pro5
All Stock with the works (until this blows over, if ever) I don't want to give them an excuse to dismiss any of this.

bucking in slow traffic, what do you mean exactly? Do you mean how it "hops" when going slow in 1st? I thought all manual trannys do this? (i read lots of threads about this). If so, how did they fix it? Did you get the rattle problem fixed, or are they still trying to fix it?

Also, i am a very picky person when it comes to people working on my car. I do most of my maintance work, and I dont bring it in to the shop unless it absolutelly necessary. When someone starts tinkering with your car to try to find how to fix a "problem", you may get other problems from trying to fix other problems...heehee...

Moslty what the other threads have been written about. Moving along in 2nd steadily with barely any acceleration. When you go to give it a little more gas to play catch up, the car bucks like I just dropped the clutch without any gas. I figured this to be normal with car and got around it with excessive clutching*? . I waited until 10k for my next oil change and brought the front end "bounce" to their attention again. They reprogrammed the ECU thinking I had the problem listed first... it DID fix that. Though I still have a problem shifting into first smoothly (usually on colder days or up hills) at times... The front end will actually bounce as the clutch begins to engage, RPMs stay steady (round 2-3k) and will continue until clutch is let out. The car has barely any forward momentum when this happens.

It has happened when the car is warm and think I may be able to duplicate it often enough to actually show them next time.

Who would have thought some pro5's come with hydraulics?

<sorry all, I must have posted this info in about 5 different spots by now, I'll have to start linking>

Unzipped... I noticed a funny thing about the vent selector the other day... I thought I had put it on Floor/Console, but nothing was coming out of the top, and I couldn't figure it out. I gave the **** a little nudge, and it clicked into place, air started coming out the top. I think it's just a manner of twisting that **** an extra 1/16th of an inch or so.

Man, I must be a horrible driver... this happens to me constantly. I always assumed it was because when you start rolling forward, you're not giving the car enough gas... Your RPMs drop below idle speed and your car flips into fast idle, keeps going in and out of fast idle and that's what causes the roller coster...

I used to have a Hyundai Scoupe, back when after 4 years the entire car would fall apart (mine did!!!), and I used to be able to ride the clutch at this point and buck the car all the way down the street. Though, I'd only do that when I had drunk passengers.

Hey... I just dicovered that the uke: smiley is not quite working correctly!
