Hi Everyone!!!

I'm a new member to the forums, and I bought a Mazdaspeed Protege 2003.5 about 2 months ago. I do not really know too much about cars......... but I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions to how I should begin modifying my car. Also, everybody told me that if I get a turbo timer, it is mandatory that I change my alarm also.......... But I like my stock alarm....... and it cost a lot more if I change my alarm too. Do I have to change my stock alarm for my Mazdaspeed Protege.

Thank You
Six

you don't have to change the stock alarm. you just can't arm the alarm as long as the TT is running. so basically you have to sit there and wait till the engine turns off before you can arm the alarm. but other than that, there should be no problem.

a quick thing to do to increase performance is a boost controller. of course, changing out intake and exhaust will help. changing the intercooler will also help. people are running 10psi on stock internals with no problems.

It would be stupid for me to wait for the Turbo Timer and sit there until it is done, and then arm my alarm......... In that case, I would rather get an alarm too, So that it would auto-matically lock after the Turbo Timer is done........... I'm actually thinking of getting a Cold Air Intake and an Air Filter first..............

Which company would be best for my Mazdaspeed Protege???
