Nice read, now time to contact Garrett, see what add-on kit they have for the PR5, keep it "driveable" or "fun" as the article states, but still "... put a smile on your face when you slam the gas pedal to the floor..."

about halfway down the page! You gotta read more than just the introduction man!

"General Rule of Thumb
For any car that will be driven on the street, you should choose the smallest turbocharger that will meet your performance and power objectives. This maximizes the driveability and response. Instant power and response is ultimately the factor that puts a smile on your face every time you slam the pedal to the metal. Also, choose your power goals sensibly: low speed torque is fun, high-speed power is fast, how often do you really need to go fast?"

LOL ( MIke ) Ya our turbo is pretty good on the jump wounds out pretty quick , you have to be a speed shifter ( fast on the shift ) to get it right. NOT saying not to us the clutch , you can not us the clutch but if you know anything That Aint good on your clutch.

Now I have been driving my car pretty much now and I feel what you guys are talking about I think , that jurk and stuff ? Well the only time I get anything bad is when I don't have enough throttal and I drop the clutch other than that its fine.

Just throttal up and slowly let the clutch out and hit second and do it again not as much with third 4 & 5 drop it.

Save some gas and stop down shifting , if you cant figure out what gear you should be in by how fast your rolling ? Then you have not drivin enough ! You should be very carefull playing with this toy , It can kill more than a bullet.

Just some bull-**** don't get mad and start flaming this is just what I feel it is not FACT I don't mind talking with good poeple We all have our own opinions.

Hey, no flaming, I really liked the article, will probably get the stage 1 and a CAI for my car next year or something, not really sure. My comment was to Roddimus who didn't read the whole article.

I have a 100,000 warrenty and I would hate to blow that, this is not yet my project car.

Enjoy yours!! I am enjoying mine

They aren't making a mazdaspeed RX8. It's only body cladding in japan.

the MS line will either stop with the Miata or the 6. There are rumors of the RX8, but those were squashed when mazda commented on their next RX7 being a supercharged Renesis punched out to 1.5L. Building a MS RX8 would steal sales and thunder away from the RX7.

I JUST GOT OFF THE JAPANESE MAZDA SPEED WEB SITE, AND THE FULL LINE ( I MEAN FROM VANS TO SEDANS) OF MAZDA SPEEDS ARE BEING MADE. THEY ARE SWEET. I AM GLAD I ONLY BUY MAZDAS. I WILL ALWAYS STICK WITH MAZDA. THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN HONDAS AND TOYOTAS, AND THEY ARE JUST AS GOOD.

The Mazdaspeed Miata is turbocharged. It's already finished. All the specs are out. It will be shown in Jan. at the Detroit Auto Show.
