Arrow Thanky Thanky

Thanks for the tips. My car has leather already, *whew* that will save some $$$---I want to get some yellow in the leather though, or S's in the head rests---but no clue where I can get those done, and my granny said embroidery will rip the leather-damn her. haha. How much should I drop her? and how much is it, anyway? haha--this is coming out of my Dad's pocket, (Graduation Present, haha) What about painted dash pieces? I wish someone was here to help me, My Dad knows all, but I know we'll argue about how to do stuff--haha. Utah sucks, I advise everyone not to come here, ever. I'm getting out ASAP!

Thanks!

-Stefanie-

PS- I can't believe someone would dare touch your precious automobile. I think we should hunt them down and dent their skulls!!!!!!!!

Things to do: tint, drop, wheels/tires if you're so inclined ($$$), engine "dress-up" (cold air intake, hoses, wire loom, carbon fiber accents, the sky's the limit), interior (leather = $$$$), painted dash pieces, ICE (in car entertainment = $$$$$$$)... and once all this is done you'll want to lock this baby up in a garage and never let it see the light of day... hahahahah

Karen

p.s. someone did a hit-and-run on my Banana in the parking garage last week and now the hatch is dented FOCKERS

Katzkins makes custom leather which is what Phantom uses...they are VERY nice...I've seen 2 sets upclose and looks better than factory. Expect around $750+shipping and install for a decent set.

Interior painting can be done on your own. JDM-P5 posted a How-To on interior painting a few weeks back. Do a search for it. You may even talk him into to doing it for you for a price. Just ship him the stuff and some cash and get it back a week later or so.....you should ask him if he's up for this.

Thumbs up

Thats awesome--I want to ask an opinion on something--About the color of anything extra I put on my car....or in it. I don't want to be blinded by tons of yellow inside, and I was thinking orange-red since that's what color the lights are inside--yellow is cool too but I don't know, I'm going back 'n' forth on this one. any color is up for my vote, really. I'm not picky, but I want it to look hot ya know.

PS I'm scared if I lower my car, the underneath will get more damaged than it already is from accidently hitting dips that I wasn't used to when I first got my car. If I lower it, won't it just hurt it more, I'd have to be super careful with her, but wouldn't it be more damage-prone????

stick with something simple like Phantom did....yellow/black is real nice.

for springs you probably can't beat the "goldlines" for bang for buck....ask "FC3Sboy" about getting you a set.

PLEASE do not put red interior in a yellow car! maybe grey or a dark blue

And yes, lowering you car will make it lower.

But it doesn't really make it more damage prone, you just have to a bit more careful. Mine is dropped 2" and it's fine over speedbumps and such.

Thumbs up :)

Obviously lowering your car makes it lower. You lowered yours 2" and it's fine on speed bumps? criipes. How much $$$$$$$ are we talking to lower a vehicle?

yes, you'll need tools and experience. I suggest having a local shop do it for you....get an estimate on what they'd charge you and let us know.

I've got the Eibachs on my car and love them. But the Goldlines are well-liked around here and
are less expensive. Changing out your springs is not difficult but it IS a pain in the *** and you really need two people and some muscle to do it.
Maybe you know a couple of friends who know enough about this stuff to do the work for you for the price of beer, or you can take it somewhere. I'd say anywhere from 1-150$ for the work. I don't know of any members near you...
Oh, and my car is dropped a little less than 2" (no kit or anything) and speed bumps are not a problem. But those cement bumpstops on parking lots I have to watch out for--that and high curbs. I can't get into my M-I-L's driveway (not that I ever want to, lol!).
