HELP!! CaR DiEiNg OuT At 35 mPh

i am going to purchase a 2003 mazdaspeed protege. i was taking a test drive two days ago and we were going 35 MPH in third gear... then the check engine light blinked twice and the car just died.. i think its the alternator but im not to sure. has anyone else had this problem? i am a previous owner of a mazdaspeed owner in yellow mica and i had no problems like this one .. just though i would add.

dude, I told you on 9thgen what to do.... pull the engine codes and have it inspected by a professional.

also, I read in that thread where you said you weren't going to buy the car anyway.

Since it popped up while I was on this page, I'll ask about it here. What's this bullshit popup banner ad about my Microsoft Outlook needing an upgrade? Hidden behind Macromedia Flash, it's generated by a website called "ads.dropspam.com." That's got a real trustworthy sound doesn't it! Adware or malware, I hope none of our good member friends are gullible enough to take the bait. I know clickthrough banners make a little cash, but damn. I think I'll stick with Microsoft for my updates.

My first threadjack too.

you've got spyware on your system. it has nothing to do with this forum or thread. next time make sure to post in the right section or it'll be moved/deleted.

Download AdAware SE.

How long did it take you to type that title?

Back to the original thread (now in progress)...

NO. The dealership has already pulled the code and KNOWS what it is. Beware.

I would walk away from this one...

Go to the for sale section of the boards and at least you can learn a bit more about the history of the ride you might buy. Look for mods and to see if the owner posted regularly in the racing section! "I reved to redline and then dumped the clutch!" -or- "Nah, the car launches well in a rolling start at 2K rpms!"

odd, my "norton antivirus" picks up whenever that ad appears, says a virus is trying to get in...

<end threadjack>

walk away from this car like waking up from a bad dream. who knows what else may be wrong with it and this tells me the dealer in question does not want to nor knows how to fix it
