hello! new p5'er here

finally got my p5! damn its sexxy.

been hovering around in the forums past couple weeks learning what i need to and i finally got my p5

midnight blue mica, 5 speed.

nothing else becuase they didnt have any yellow or blue with the abs+ sideair, its ok, save money, learn to pump the breaks =P

This is my first time driving stick, drove it around for about 2 hours and ive got it down pretty well. only other cars i've driven are my family's 98 taurus and 97 caravan =P

Alright, just saying hello, and sharing the love.

CONGRATS on the purchase, I have had mine now for about three weeks and have loved every minute of it.

You will learn a lot on/in this club and if you have any questions always do a search and look in the FAQ and also feel free to ask any of us....there are some people in here that know a lot and can answer about any question.

Any future plans for the P5 in the way of mods???

Hey Congats on the purchase.... I'm looking to do one within a couple of months as well

I finally did my test drive last weekend; I took out a ST and then tried out an AT. All I can say is the AT is pretty boring to drive IMO in comparison to the ST. I have always been an advocate for AT until now!!!!!

ST RULES, and will be the way that I go when I deciede to make the purchase (on pretty much any vehicle).

Congratulations Corman, We got our's one week ago today. Midnight Blue, 5 speed, moonroof. We love it! Check it out with my other toy ('73 Mini)...not too many cars that would make a P5 look big.

Thanks guys,

I'm most likely going to get a short shifter + new ***, and maybe a CAI, no new exhaust- i'd like to keep it quiet (no offense to any who likes 'em loud), Doubt ill drop it, i prefer to be able to go over speed bumps =P, i'll probly paint the calipers (which color do you guys like on the midnight blue, RED or YELLOW?)

Zanzibar your mni is awesome, its so cool to have the pair =)

Yeah i drove the AT too, and it was just eh, not very fun, very glad i got MT.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention its the 02.5 model.

Wow... i can't beleive how big that mini makes the P5 look..

Congrads to all of you on your purchases!! I also have a Blue P5 and love it!!

If your going to paint the calipers i think that the yellow looks the best!! that is what i did on my car! The only thing is that they get really dirty and are a bitch to get clean!!

Welcome

I'd say go for yellow calipers with your blue ride.

That mini and the P5s colours match almost exactly!!!

You know, the P5 is way more popular on the boards it seems, but down here in Cincy I have yet to see a P5 on the streets. I think I may have once, but hell it could of been anything. There definitely weren't any P5s at the dealer when I bought my sedan this past July. Any thoughts on this?

When the end of the earth comes, he wanted to be in Cincinnati because the end would come 200 years later...lol. Seriously though, I can't believe that there weren't any P5s there in the whole town... But, enjoy your sedan. All Proteges kick butt...

To clean those calipers try some simple green non diluted from the bottle. It also works great on chrome rims and does not leave and water stains if not in direct sunlight.
