Hello everybody

First off I'd like to say how glad I am to be a new member of this forum. I own a a White 1999 Mazda Protege ES, that I bought from my sister a couple of years go for 50 bucks lol. I recently had a stereo installed and the windows tinted. On Sunday i was following a white Suburban and there were two more cars in front of him everyone started slowing down and then all of a sudden the guy in front of everyone decided to stop in the middle of the road and when i hit my brakes they made this loud screeching noise and i went right into the back of the Suburban. It didn't do anything to the Suburban but, it bent my hood up, broke my head lights, and cracked both sides of my bumper. I've been planning on doing a lot of external work. Now that this has happened it looks like it will be sooner then I thought. I planned on a carbon fiber hood or the fiberglass evo hood, black housed head lights, the mazdaspeed spoiler, and some kind of body kit like the eurbuni kit or getting the sport 20 bumper. the question is if i get the evo hood and the mazdaspeed spoiler do you think it would look good or bad with the eurbuni kit? what if i get an OEM carbon fiber hood instead of the evo hood? if i got the sport 20 i think i would go with mazdaspeed side and rear skirts and the spoiler would it look good with the evo hood? if any of you could tell me what you think or Photoshop what any of this stuff would look like i would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you

Welcome to Protege Club!

First off, I don't do body kits, so I can't/won't answer your question. However, I can say that if you really did pay $50 for the car, then you should have plenty of $$ left over to mod it with!

Welcome. And I thought I just got a good deal for my girlfriend's Proty!

As for the bodykits, initially I was going to go with the Wings West kit sans fender flares, as I think it is a good looking kit. Now I think I am going to go stealthier with factory side sills/rear extension, and a DGM urethane front lip. I'm not a big fan of the Erebuni kits, but I have not seen one on an actual car so I can't say how it might look. For our cars, I think that less is more. Too many openings will make it look ricey! No matter what else, it is your car so if you are happy with how it looks, everyone else can go pound sand!

i think it would look pretty sweet if you put the bodykit together the way you were saying which mazdaspeed wing tho? the 1st one thats the same as the Mp3 wing? or the 2003.5 cuz personally i'd go with the second wing that ones much nicer IMO

the kit(s) i'm going with are:
Front Bumper: BuddyClub 2
Side skirts:wings west
Rear skirt: wingswest
Rear Spoiler: Carbon fiber OEM Infinity G35 Rear Spoiler
