Exclamation heat problem!

I had to go to Mazda today and get my heating fixed!! Didn't really think about it too much until it started getting damn cold and the only thing that would work is when I put it on 4. 1,2 and 3 on the heat settings did **** all. They had to replace the resister. Nice eh? It's all good though. It only took like 20 minutes. Don't know if anybody else has heat problems but just in case, thought I would let everybody know about my prob.

What year is yours? Just curious, cause I've got a P5, and have heard someone else with heat problems. Glad to hear it's fixed.

I have a P5. It was like that when I bought it but never really noticed until it started getting cold. I've heard of a few P5 owners with heat problems too.

I know that Nightowl had a problem with his heater, but that was due to a crappy stereo install that someone did on his car... they knocked one of the control levers loose.

Have others had problems?... other than the new plastic smell that I get when I crank the heat, it works pretty well... and now that I have been running it every day the smell is a lot less than it used to be.
