Haltec (?) for the NA guys

I asked it before but never got an answer. Would it be worth the money to get on, or is there something out already. I am supprised with the performance of the car with the few mods on it and I'm wanting something ells that will add to it that most people don't think of or hasn't done yet.

To me it's an expense that I can't quite cover right now, but if someone wants to give me one for free I'm all for that!

Yes...stock ECU is crap....Matty had posted some dynos from when Andy Wagner tuned an NA P5 with an AEM unit, and it netted great gains

after buying the unit and then having to tune it, it'll cost as much as a basic turbo kit. but of course it's worth it for the gains if you want to stay NA and make the most of your engine. tripoint and other speedworld challenge proteges all run standalones with great results.

I think you can get pretty good gains from the F10X fuel controller only. you don't have to spend the $$ for the AEM. I'd say to look around for a MP3 ecu and the F10X and you'd be under $1200 and do everybit of the stuff you could get from a more expensive EMS.

personally why not just buy the $1400 E6X and spend another $250 to have it tuned? That's only $1600 and barely HALF the cost of a turbo kit.

Which AFC are you talking about chris?? the Apexi stuff won't work on the 3rd gen pro's. It's pretty much full standalone or nothing.

no one repied to my post about recommending a stand alone system. I plan on running it Na, until i have everything for my custom turbo system installed. Still need to finish bending and welding up my tubluar equal length turbo manifold. So would you guys recommend a haltech e6x? I'm planning on running at 1bar(15psi) of boost minimum.

uhhh,yeah..if 15psi is your daily, I would recommend standalone. Not that it can't be done without it, but sure makes it safer.
