Gauge Pods for the MP3, P5, Protege2001

Alright guys i have gotten this off the ground. I have gotten with Lotek to get a pillar made with Gauges on it. Looks to me now that they are going to go over top of our factory Pillar and is going to match the colors of the orginal pillar.
Here is what we have to do, we have to have 20 peeps wanting to buy these so we can get them made. We can get a triple gauge pod holder or a two gauge pod holder that away we could put a big tach in the left corner of the car. Here are the sites you need to goto. The second site is the one that we need people to decide on which one they want
Look at both so you sites, also my email is Bradmaglinger@hotmail.com

If you are interested in getting these pods, please e-mail me at sqrbean@midsouth.rr.com with your name, address, e-mail address, go ahead & throw in there a 2 or 3 pod as your preference (Im just going to try & get both made, but it will mean I would need double the minimum order!!) . I will also be offering these with the guages (your choice) so I need to know an idea of what guages people would want. I figure Autometer phantoms. So, include that info in your e-mail. This wont be an order, it will just give me an idea of whos interested & a count & then when I'm ready to get the final order going (in a few weeks) I'll e-mail you with prices & final info. And any other suggestions on guages would be taken.

Too bad I already retrofitted a Miata dual pod in my pro or else I would go with your specific ones but the Miata one turned out alright just had to use a heat gun to flatten out a couple spots where it mounted.

I am going to get pics up as soon as I can I also made a gauge panel for the extra din slot I wasnt' using when I put in my Pioneer Stereo. So far i have Boost, Air/Fuel, Oil PSI, and Voltmeter gauges to complement my interior. I'm thinking about a shift light.

That's along the lines of what I'm working on now. Since my stereo was stolen last week, I decided to mount the new one down in the console behind the cup holders. There are two metal dash supports that the deck can be bolted to. I have to trim some of the plastic from the console, but I think it might work. To fill the dual DIN space in the dash, I'm making a panel that should hold 5 two and a sixteenth inch Autometer gauges.

Eric you could fit five guages in there easy. But I will tell you its a pain looking down all the time to check on something which is why I move the Oil and Volt gauges there and have the air/fuel and boost on the pillar. Good luck fitting the stereo behind the cup holders you will have to do some trimming...I have looked at that for putting a 6" video screen in the DIN spaces and using a HKS CAMP system instead of all the analog gauges.

I was going to offer everyone their choices of guages. That way, they can make their own set up. I wouldnt make everyone take the same guages. But I would prefer selling the same brand (like Autometer) because it would be easier to keep up with pricing.

2 Pod pillar

I would order just the pillar and no gauges. I already have 1 and would want the same for the other, so no gauges for me! Would the gauges be eye level or down the pillar toward the dash. The Cost of the 2 pod would be $_____?

Its looking like tha majority of people are wanting 3 guage pods but there are some 2 guage people out there. So, those of you that cant live with a 3 guage, if I can get enough orders for a 2 guage pods (I would like to get at least 15) then I can do an order for 2 & 3 guage pods. That would mean I need at least 20 orders for 3 guage pods & 15 orders for 2 guage pods prepaid. But the prices for the 2 would be virtually the same. Maybe 1.00 difference. So, if this is what everyone wants to do, then I need these orders ASAP. getting 35 orders is going to take time!! If I find out Im not getting enough orders for 2 guage pods, then I'll have to figure out what you 2 guage pod people want to do. But I'll do my best and I'll do my best to cover the difference as much as possible if we cant get enough orders. I'll be paying for 25 as it is!!
