Free mods?

Hey guys!
I was just wondering if there are any free mods, such as removing any parts or switching anything for the stock MP5.
With my old GT-S i could remove the intake butterfly for a little growlier intake sound, and i was just wondering if there is anything like that for the MP5. Heh, thanks!

you could remove the resonator on the intake, leaveing the box i guess.... i've "heard" (i think i read on another thread) that there is a pink wire you cut and ground on some emissions parts that gives that extra 10 ponies like from in the mp3, but i DO NOT suggest trying that due to you wouldnt really have emmisions control anymore, and thats bad, plus any unknown damage you might cause. but this is all he said she said trash that provbly isnt true.
go buy a cheap cone intake filter from pepboys(like maybe 10$ or so) remove the air box, stick the IAT sensor(if you have one)inside the filter and (gently!)clamp it to the MAF. this will sound MUCH better like you want.
i remember in high school economics, TNSTAAFL (pronouced tin-sta-ful) it stands for... theres no such thing as a free lunch. meaning everything costs someone in the long run... apply that to cutting the pink wire on your car, and other "too good to be true mods" also, dont even try the ebay hp mod, IAT mod, MAF mod, and tranny mod. if you do, im positive someone will make fun of you. just all of my thoughts...

yeah, just remove the resonator to the intake( the big black piece that sits in the front) Just leave the box and drop in a K&N filter, till you choose to get an aftermarket intake.

Well, I've been looking at cheap mods (visual, not performance) and came up with a few. 1) If you have pinstripes, peel the damn things off. P5's look better streamlined. You could then add decals and such 2) Paint your brake shoes. Sometimes it makes people think you bought some custom parts (lying is easy at a distance) 3) White-out or color your sidemarkers 3) Buy a K&N Panel Filter and replace your air filter with it. According to www.protege5online.com it adds a small jump in power and fuel economy.
