Build Quality?

I've never been inside a WRX, but I've read and heard some bad things about the interior. How does it compare to the P5?

By the way, I'm a little envious.

Good luck with the WRX Tranny! 30,000+ miles and sayonara. Even the Subaru rally team replaces them contantly.
I would still buy one, I have not heard about the power increase except for the STI version but it is getting a face lift in January, no more round headlights

Best of luck I wish I was driving a WRX! Of course I love my P5 but 227 hp and all wheel drive would certainly be fun!

Oh well guess I get there the hard way

So how much to convert a FWD to an AWD?

The fabric on the seats seems to be really crappy. The side bolsters in my friend's wrx wore holes in them after he had the car for only 4 months.

Yeah but the seats hold you soo much better than in the Protege. Other than that, I think the WRX has just an average interior.

True, but you would really think that on a $25k car, they'd at least use a decent material on the seats. Yeah, the seats hold you really well, but who cares if they freakin fall apart after a couple months.

Ummmmm..... He can easily make up the HP difference with the money he'd save from a used 2002 to a new 2003. Hell, you can get like 20+ wheel HP for $500 from a reprogrammed ecu or something. Not to mention the other cheap mods: intake, exhaust, etc.

Good stuff Vibrant, good luck with your new car!
