fifth geared too low

So a 6-speed isn't for everyone. I, personally would like one. Around town I actually use fifth and can get away with it because it is geared low. If we had that 6th gear, geared high that would cut out alot of noise and increase gas mileage but cutting RPMs at highway speeds. If i had to downshift to pass that is not a problem. I want to be able to get on the highway and set the cruise anyway, so I don't worry about power to pass too often. If I am cruising at 80, I am not going to generally speed up to pass someone.

To the fact that this is a 17K car. Look at the Matrix XRS (19K with a 6-speed), The Celica GTS, Nissan Sentra SE-R. All are under 20K with a 6-speed. So, it could be done for not much more expense than what they have now.
