Extended Warranty?

Hey, guys i was wondering if i can cancle my extended warranty.
cause i feel no need of warranty, since my car has no problem except for engine rattling during cold weather.
Do i just go to dealer and tell them to cancle it? or do i need contact MzUSA?
sorry, when it comes to car issue, i become totally dumbasX. he he
Thanks

your extended warrantee is a CONTRACT that you signed when you baught your car....and it most likely is not with mazda at all...but with another company. Go to the dealer...and talk to them....you may find some extended warrantee documents in with all the paper work from when you baught your car....talk to the finance manager...they are the ones that usually deal with the extended warrantee paperwork and who in fact signed you up for it in the first place.....you may be able to get out of it....then again....you may not.

you gave yourself a good reason NOT to cancel your warrantee

when it comes to car issue, i become totally dumbasX
j/k Fixing it yourself can save tons of money.

joking aside, I'd say keep it. The car may run fine now, but who's to say it won't next year, next week, tomorrow. It's there to basically cover the <costly> unexpected. I'll give you an example of the unexpected: My Escort ran fine for 72k miles. I turned it off and came back out to drive it again, not five minutes later. The valve seat had dropped and when I went to start it, it chewed up the head and 2 pistons (time for a new engine).

You didn't state how many miles you have. If it's low, especially under 1k or so, you might have a chance of them cancelling it. It's always worth asking the dealer, the worst they can tell you is no.

Extended warranties can be cancelled, and will be prorated for the time that the car has been in service. When I turned in my Matrix after about a month of ownership, I received a refund for the amount of the extended warranty that was not used. Basically, I was charged about $100 for the time I've owned my car. Speak to the finance manager, and all you have to do is fill out the paperwork for the refund. This may be different for you since you still own the car, but you need to read the fine print on the contract. This differs from state to state, so you may want to check with your local DMV for further details.

On a diff. note, does Sears still do lifetime swaps/fixes on craftsman tools or is that like 10 years ago?
YES they do...at least on their hand tools.....the ones that have always had a lifetime warrantee.

What's the lowdown on the Matrix ownership. I came close to buying one, but decided on the P5

We'll, since I've traded the Matrix in for the P5 I guess you can tell I wasn't too happy with it. The interior sucked-cheap plastic stuff that would scratch if you breathed on it wrong. Hard to get parts, I ordered a replacement piece under warranty, and just got the postcard from the dealer saying that they received it (4 months!!!) Impossible to read gauges in daylight. Turn signal indicators on dash would light up the entire speedo at night because of the pots they're housed in. Handled like a minivan, even though I had lowered it and it had the factory 17" wheel option. Slow off the line, same horsepower as the P5, but less torque. Seats were uncomfortable, unsupportive, and very hard to clean. I accidentally dripped some sweat on one the seats when I was installing the stereo, and I couldn't clean it off, no matter what I tried. Should I go on?
