Engine oil

I just got my P5 and was reading the owner's manual (imagine that!) and got to the section where they recommend what oil to use.

It says that you can run either 10W-30 or 5W-30. Living in Western NY state I am thinking that 5W-30 is more applicable to the temp ranges I am likely to see. But, in the summer the car will see the occasional Tenessee warm weather.

So, should I just use 5W-30? or change over between summer and winter?

thanks!
