Question Door Panel Plugs?

I noticed the other day that on my passenger side one of the door plugs that holds the panel on was missing. Does anyone know where i can get some that look like the factory "charcoal grey" or whatever. Im not sure if stores would carry them in that color and i dont just want to put in a black one or something that looks like crap. Would the dealership give me one? Any advice would be handy....Thanx

Your best bet is a junkyard. Although I haven't actually tried to buy some of these things, my experience with Jap cars is that interior fasteners are usually only sold in large packages with ridiculously high prices (i.e. rather than buying one, you have to buy 20 of them for $30- for a part that only cost 5 cents each to manufacture). A dealer MIGHT give you one, but because of the price, the service techs will often closely guard their private stash. It's worth a shot but I would try a junkyard first.

FWIW I've found that the correct removal procedure for these things is to gently pry up on the center disk with a small flathead screwdriver. Prying on the outside edge will break the fastener.

Good luck!

ALSO....many if them are HINGED...and if you look around the edge very closely you will find a small knotch...that is where you gently pry up...as it hinges on the other side..and if you pry incorrectly...it will break the hinge...then the only option for putting it back on is to either get a new one...or glue it back on some way.

The dealer can order just 1. When I broke one the dealer had to special order me a new one. It was 2 dollars.
