that button kicks butt!! i like to pretend that its my turbo button sometimes when i try to race in my p5. its really the on/off switch for cruise control though. However, its still my super turbo button to me damnit!

About those 3 cruise buttons...

Although the cruise works very well and responds beautifully (acceleration and decelaration), have you tried using those buttons at night ? It's suicide!!! I can't see which is which and even at the feel of the fingers you're confused because the buttons are all aligned and flat (nothing distinguishes them because they are not lit). What do you guys think, any solutions ?

I memorized wich one does what, and then I just feel them with my thumb to distinguish between them. It works for me.

I'm with The Old Guy on that one. Once I used them a few times I stopped having to look down at them at all.

Ya, just remember top goes faster, down goes slower and the brakes turn it off.

One feature I love about the cruise is the tap up and tap down. If you hit the button once up or once down it increases or decreases the speed of the car by 1 mph or 1.6 kph. great for when you are creeping up on the people that just have to be in front of you but slow down when they get there.

The cruise stalk in the Protege is the exact same one as in my MR2, hence no learning was required for me.

Sweet! I didn't realize we have that creep feature. I think I tried it once, but it didn't work. You get used to where the buttons are after a while.
