dielectric grease?

Everybody seems to say that you need to use dielectric grease on new spark plugs to protect them from moisture and make it easier to remove the wires, but nobody says *how* to use it.

How much do I put on? Do I put it in the wire's boot? Or on the plug?

According to the instructions on the Permatex Dielectric Tune-Up Grease package, "coat inside of spark plug boot and ceramic portion of spark plug with a thin layer of Dielectric Grease. Snap boot onto plug, making sure fit is tight."
