Great tip. Ive got a 2002 Protege5, after poppn the plastic off you notice its got holes. Go to home depot or lowes etc, purchase for .65 cents "screw caps" 1/4 or 1/8th inch i think? Paint and pop in.

I was going to try to bondo fill and sand/paint but i got a couple little bags of these, hit them with my classic red #A3E touch up paint, and after shaving the edges just a bit on the caps..popped them in. It looks great...and with no repercussions from a shitty bondo job.
