Cruise Control Click

Cruise Control Click

In my new Protege5, when I turn on cruise (button under the three-button control panel) I hear a click in the dashboard somewhere near the glove compartment/passenger side airbag.

Is this normal? I've never had cruise before, so it's hard for me to say. Seems like if it's utilizing a fuse, the clicking would take place elsewhere...

Normal huh? Man i just used my CC about 50 60 times coming back from VA and I never heard any type of clicking. But hold on... is that when you turn the main power on or when you are setting the cruise. I'll have to listen for the power, I always leave it on.

Its when you toggle the switch marked "main". I leave mine on too but I get bored in traffic or at a light sometimes and start playing with it (mainly because of the cool click over there, pisses the misses off).

mine doesn't click... rather it thumps some awesome bass, wait, that's not my cruise-control.

don't wrry about it, when it starts to accelerate on it's own a la christine, then you might wanna have it checked...or excorcised.
