I can only say that I pretty much agree w/Matty about how frustrating it is. So what that you're kind of a hat3r, Matty. It comes with the territory.

this is actually pretty easy. on tuner transformation, i saw them turn a paseo into a RWD drift "monster". they just used the engine and drivetrain from a toyota truck. the car went from 105hp on the stock engine to a whopping 120hp on the truck's engine. oh man, did it TEAR IT UP! you can totally do it dude. find out the cost from a tuner shop who will do this for you. i'm sure it won't be THAT much more than the cost of getting a used evo.

it costs less to trade in the car for one that has a manual than do the swap, plus theres NO labor involved...this is a BAD idea

it seems that macdaddyslomo has a point. and prime is afraid of poeple who might know more then him... that why hes always puttin people down. like everone usually says. "you dont know me"..well you dont know the work i do. you just know what you do is something that everyone else should follow. im starting to wonder why your really on this sight. either to tell people if they should do it or not. give some help. or your on to put people down because you part own this sight and the rules dont apply to you???? an i REALLY DONT CARE IF YOU DELETE MY ACCOUNT FROM HERE its not like it will kill me or hurt me. i can always get my help at "f & f" like the other people you say do.

I love how this kid thinks I'm scared of people "who may know more than me" and in this turd's own thread he thinks the hassles of a RWD conversion will be "im just picturing a nightmare of brakelines transmition fluid".

p.s. kid if you don't ditch the attitude and at least TRY To spell words correctly you're not going to make it here long. People on this forum are a little older, a lot wiser and less tolerant of stupidity. If you'd like to be a ricer and act like you know what you're doing might I suggest www.clubprotege.com

Sorry, but I gotta take Matty's side on this one. I know what it's like to reach your internal comment limit. Once you're there, stuff just starts coming out that you would normally keep inside and wait to pass.

But, you could be nicer about it too. Yes, there are people on here with crazy ideas. Instead of rippin 'em a new one, just explain to them in as few words as possible that the idea is going to eat up loads of time, cash, and life. Heck, Matty, you could even save a reply on your desktop, and then every time someone comes along with this stuff, do a copy and paste. Voila, instant reply without you going off on them.

SUGGESTION if you're looking for RWD and a manual transmission: Drive to your local Ford dealer, trade in the Protege, and leave in a new Mustang. Much easier and maybe even cheaper ($$-wise and labor-wise) than trying to convert. (Just my personal opinion.)

He didn't say it would be an even trade. He said it would probably be cheaper in the long run.

p.s. what is a burrito burger?? Mustangs (especially new ones) are nice cars. I've owned about 12 in my day and this new one looks to blow them all away.

up in rockford (dont know if this happens all over the place) usually the spanish (mex american) own mustangs, and trucks. that explains a burrito. the burger (if you buy at Mc d') is usually packed. that explains that they ride deep. a car full of mexico inhibitants. im ITALIAN. i DONT ever ride like that.

im not a racists. but its not hard to notice a deep mustang
