Cold Air ram intake for 10$ on a K&N filter
I did this mod recently for just 10$. It's really better now, as you will see:

Thanks, indeed it works very well, and the same thing from Autoexe would cost you 600$. In that case, I don't mind the look if it saves me 590$ ;-)

http://www.topfuel.to
And the link for the HotInaZma that you can buy in USA since recently:

There is a bit of hype on the InaZma but it will do the following:
- keep your battery voltage to 12 volts therefore reducing the load on your alternator which means more power theoritically and fuel economy.
- better sparks when you start the engine
- extend your battery life
I am not sure about their claim that there is a difference betweem the HR, LT or MR type. A bit of marketting here.
Powerhouses like Racelogic developped similar systems:

The device was reviewed by VW motoring magazine and they gave it 2 thumbs up:

The Sport20 and the Familia will be terminated in September here making place for the new Axela. The top model will sport a 2.2 l engine I think and deliver more than 200 HP.
The next upgrades I am planning are iridium sparkplugs. I thought of getting the HotWires but I think a lot of hype there for 350$.
A guy I know will test next weekend the Hot InaZma (or something similar), the Tornado and the Earth Cables in his dynamometer and show me the results for various cars. I'll share the results with you here. I was interested in the tornado or things similar claiming to increase atomization by creating air turbulence after the air passes through the K&N filter .

In case of puddles, true again although the roads are really top shape in Tokyo and they use a different tarnac type that absorbs the water. It rains so much here as you know during our rain season.
The foglight idea is a good one. Maybe later.

I'd prbbly cover the end of the hose up w/ a screen or something so the hose won't be sucking in dirt and dust.

The reason for that is due to a special import tax for Japanese cars that depends on the horsepower instead of the engine size.
This is why the Accord for example is underpowered at about 140 HP while the one here is above 220. Samething for the Subaru and the Toyotas. The Supra here is over 300HP. It is maybe another reason why Nissan did not export the Skyline to USA.
As for the Protege, the same thing happened. I may be mistaken here but I think Mazda got around this HP tax issue by having Corksport (American company) putting a Turbo on the P5 after it was imported. This is why the engine is not an FS-ZE on the MP Speed although it gives 170HP with the turbo.
I looked for a turbo solution for the FS-ZE engine, and it would cost me 3500$US..would be nice to fly above 220 HP..but I'd better start saving for my next car at that price.
