Cleaning out the closet...

And what did I come across? SO, I have had this turbo kit for my Eclipse and since I decided to get rid of it and my g/f is still giving me the HELL NO treatment to installing it on her car...I figure since I have most of the parts....I need to make this happen somehow (someday). Anyone gone the full gambit with a turbo install yet? I need some info.
Thanks!
-Phil

Man...i need to get all my parts together and come spend a weekend up in b-ham man.

it looks like a T25 from a nissan. What model number is it? you'll need a new manifold made for the protege with a flange for that specific turbo.

you get the parts together and I'll install it all for you.

Yeah...that, IC, piping etc. Plus don't you think I'd have to remap the ECU ot maybe tweak a MSP one? Then again...cutting corners gets you no where fast...

you can't plan intercooler piping until you know what manifold you're going to use. an MSP ecu will actually do pretty well since it's the same turbo. you'd want to recirculate a BPV in there instead of a standard BOV or else you'll have all sorts of stumbling issues....or you could purchase a Haltech F10X and have no problems with anything.

first thin you'll need to do is find out what size turbo that is and who has a manifold for that turbo. I'm guessing it's a T25 and I don't think anyone but MAM has a manifold for that turbo unless you score a stock MSP manifold (which are kinda weak).

Maybe Wagner or Hiboost can get you a manifold for a T25 (if that's what you've got) for a decent price. If thats the case then you could buy your FMIC from then since they know how the turbo'd be sitting in the engine bay.

Yeah...I know...We'll cross that bridge when I get there...I'm not looking to go out and take out stangs and vettes with this thing...more like a added kick when I take her to the track or auto x...heh heh!
BTW...I'm looking at the turbo right now...It's a GARRETT stamped with M24 A/R .42...beats the f**k outta me exactly WHAT trim this turbo is....whether it's a T3/4 or 25....

it's not a T3 and it's certainly not a T3/T4....it's got a 3bolt inlet flange...it's a T25 at most .42 ar trim is about average....looks identical to a MSP turbo
