Check Engine Light
Hey guys, does anybody know how to tern the check engine light off coz that thing is driving me nuts , and I already checked my engine with my mechanic and he told me that everything is fine and I have to go to the dealer to shut it off. Is that right?? Is there any other way for that ?!
(other than removing the whole speedometer gauges thing to take it out )

Geez, has your mechanic ever heard of OBDII?
Did he tell you what the code was?
If everything is really OK then resetting the ECU would shut it off. If it comes back on then take your car to an Autozone somewhere you can have the code read for free and let us know what it is.
I don't think I'd be letting that guy touch my car again.
How's your car running, BTW?

Disconnect the negative battery terminal, pump the brake for 10 seconds. Reconnect battery and it should go away. However, if there really IS something wrong the CEL will come back in about 60-70 miles.

I dunno man .. but if you go to AutoZone they can tell you. Get the OBDII code pulled and let us know what it is. The code will tell you where the problem is (EGR, IAT, MAF, cylinder misfire, etc.)
